SB20 es una reflexión sobre el espacio doméstico articulándola a través de 3 ejes, reciclaje, texturas y el espacio como vacío. 

 

El primer paso fue la decantación de materiales durante el derribo. Un primer intento hasta que consigamos que los escombros sean nuestros suelos, paredes o muebles. En este camino, rescatamos las maderas de los tabiques demolidos y el gotelé de las paredes. Ellos nos brindaban un material creativo para un proceso de creación heterogéneo.

 

El otro eje sobre el que pivota el proceso proyectual es la textura. Buscamos evocar la desnudez del material, produciendo una sensación táctil. Por ello trabajamos uno de los muros limítrofes para sacar su textura. Este muro acompaña en toda la línea de la casa y aparecen dos pequeñas ventanas que pasan a ser un accidente rompiendo su materialidad. 

 

Por último, como pieza clave del proceso está el espacio como vacío. Nos interesaba el aire, el espacio holgado concebido para sentir una mayor libertad. La cocina fluye para meterse en el salón, desdibujando el límite. En la habitación principal el vestidor aparece y desaparece con elementos textiles. En el baño, su techo se curva desdibujando techo de pared, y la ducha se convierte en bañera.

SB20 is a reflection on the domestic space, articulating it through 3 axes, recycling, textures and space as emptiness.

 

The first step was the decantation of materials during the demolition. A first attempt until we get the rubble to be our floors, walls or furniture. On this path, we rescued the wood from the demolished partitions and the gotelé from the walls. They provided us with creative material for a heterogeneous creation process.

 

The other axis on which the design process pivots is texture. We seek to evoke the nudity of the material, producing a tactile sensation. That is why we worked on one of the border walls to get its texture. This wall accompanies the entire line of the house and two small windows appear that become an accident breaking its materiality.

 

Finally, as a key piece of the process is the space as emptiness. We were interested in the air, the loose space conceived to feel greater freedom. The kitchen flows into the living room, blurring the limit. In the main room, the dressing room appears and disappears with textile elements. In the bathroom, its ceiling curves, blurring the wall ceiling, and the shower becomes a bathtub.
